Their new line NLX line of turbos has cutting edge technology with its patent-pending adjustable MAP groove and all ball bearing design as described in more detail below. We are also big believers that "Made in USA" means quality and love the fact that Bulleye manufactures their turbos in Michigan.
We put a pair of these NLX 83mm turbos onto one of our 427ci LS Next builds to act as the centerpiece of the Dart booth at PRI 2016. It caught the eye of of LSX Magazine's Kyle Kitchen who captured all the detail in "Borowski Race Engines’ 1,540 HP 427 Dart LS Next At PRI 2016". These turbos will be seeing dyno time in January 2017 on top of a Dart LS Next2 block.
Featuring an innovative new compressor design and a true dual ball bearing cartridge that is housed in an entirely CNC machined billet aluminum bearing housing, the NLX turbochargers offer incredible power, spool time, and durability. Unlike other "dual ball bearing turbos" the NLX does not utilize any journal or thrust bearings. Two sets of captured silicon-nitride ball bearings in polished stainless steel races provide incredibly low rolling resistance while being able to withstand thrust loads unheard of with standard bearing turbochargers.
The fourth generation race compressor cover from Bullseye Power is changing the way we think of compressor covers. Gone are the days of a "one size fits all" MWE groove (Map Width Enhacement groove). Now you can fine tune your map width with the adjustable MWE groove to optimize your specific combination! This revolutionary new cover also features a threaded outlet to allow the use of either v-band or hose style connections with one part.
Currently available in 64, 76, 80, and 83mm compressor inducer sizes, NLX turbochargers come standard with Bullseye Power's Gen 4 "tunable" Race Cover and lightweight Stainless Steel V-Band Inlet turbine housing in a variety of turbine wheel sizes. T4 and T6 housings options are also available. TW sizes (mm) are: 83x74, 87x80 and 96x88 ($285 upcharge).
