Experienced Crew Chief, Crew man
Hello Everyone,
My name is Tom Quattlebaum, and I am looking for some work in the racing industry. I have just recently graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Physics Degree.
I am currently crew chief for the #26K Pro Late model driven by Kyle Mitchell in the Georgia Asphalt Series. I am looking for more work, as we don't currently race anything other than the GAS races.
I have experience with sheet metal and welding, and I enjoy fabricating. I have experience working on and setting up Karts, Bandos, Legends, Pro Late Models and Pro Challenge cars.
I enjoy reading chassis theory books, and am always in search of a way to get more speed out of my cars. I am a meticulous note taker on and off the track, and use these notes to better myself as a crew chief and mechanic.
I have an excellent ability to communicate with a driver to understand what the car is doing. I believe the driver is a key component to the race car, and I want help a driver develop his/her ability to the fullest potential. I usually apply principles from the racing psychology books written by Ross Bentley, Carroll Smith, and Bob Bondurant.
Pay is not too important to me, but I do need to make a living. I want to learn more and more about our competitive sport and become the best race engineer I can be. Along the way I hope I can improve the careers of those around me.
My phone number is 678 326 9553, please leave a message, as I am usually not in the house to hear the machine. I can provide references if needed. You may also contact me through a private message on racing junk, or by emailing me at tomqkarter@hotmail.com Thanks for looking.
