This Cayman S sports a removable matte black vinyl wrap with ghosted Martini Racing livery along with a GT3-style front fascia, lightweight Lexan windshield, and an adjustable Crawford carbon fiber rear wing. The 3M vinyl wrap was applied in February of 2021 and the original color of the car is Arctic Silver Metallic. The cabin has been largely stripped out and fitted with racing safety equipment including a 10-point chassis-welded Chromoly roll cage, a Recaro Hans driver’s seat, a Sparco 6-point harness, and a fire suppression system. The driver is supplied with a quick-release OMP steering wheel, carbon fiber control panel and MoTeC CDL3 Club digital dash display and data logger.
During its racing conversion in 2014, this Cayman S was fitted with a 3.6L flat-six engine by Porsche Motorsports North America including the factory X51 Power Kit, a GT3 throttle body, a performance ECU tune, and Fabspeed exhaust. The original 6-speed manual gearbox was retained and paired with a Cartonic Motorsports sequential shifter mechanism, performance shift linkage, an Aasco Motorsport lightweight flywheel, a new Sachs race clutch, and an Auto-Blip system. The suspension has been upgraded with MCS 2-way adjustable coil-overs, 900/750 spring sets, GT3 lower control arms, GT3 inner joints, an RSR subframe, and reinforcement tie-ins for increased rigidity. Other upgrades include 2 CSF all-aluminum side radiators and an additional CSF center radiator. An additional oil cooler for the transmission and power steering fluid as well as a power steering under-drive pulley. The car has been routinely serviced by Eurosport Racing at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet Illinois.
