This 2007 Ford Mustang FR500C is a factory-built race car powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a 3.55:1 rear differential. Equipment includes a rear spoiler, 18″ Y-spoke wheels, a Sparco Circuit race seat (Will be re-installed prior to sale), a fire-suppressant system, a Grand-Am-specification roll cage, a Sparco steering wheel, a C&R aluminum radiator, a high-flow intake system, and an aftermarket exhaust system. This FR500C is now offered in Pennsylvania on a bill of sale.
The FR500C was designed to compete in the Grand-Am Cup series, and this example is finished in white with red stripes, painted mirror caps, a rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, “31” decals, and front and rear tow hooks. Small Front bumper mark due to a parking lot accident.
18″ Y-spoke wheels wear Hoosier white-letter tires measuring 285/645 up front and 305/645 out back. The FR500C was factory equipped with Brembo front disc brakes and PFC rear brake pads, as well as a three-way adjustable dynamic suspension, ride-height adjustable coilovers, an adjustable caster/camber plate, an adjustable anti-roll bar, and urethane bushings.
The cockpit features a single Sparco Circuit race seat with Ford Racing embroidery and a six-point harness. Additional interior equipment includes a Grand-Am-specification roll cage, a quick-release Alcantara-wrapped Sparco steering wheel, a leather-wrapped shift knob, and a Sparco 4.0-liter AFFF cable-activated fire-extinguisher system. A panel of toggle switches is present in the center console above the retained climate controls.
MXL digital instrumentation includes a speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and readouts for water temperature and oil pressure. No odometer is present, and mileage is unknown.
The 5.0-liter V8 was factory rated at approximately 400 horsepower and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a 3.55:1 rear 8.8″ differential. Factory equipment includes a C&R aluminum radiator with an integrated oil cooler as well as a Ford Performance high-flow intake system. The transmission was replaced, and the removed unit is included in the sale.
An aftermarket exhaust system has been added, and the stock equipment is also included. Too many extra parts to list that also go with this car upon sale. Some items include stock exhaust, transmission, multiple extra rotors and brake pads, and suspension parts. I’m sure that I am missing some parts but there is a truck bed full of spare parts that are included with this car. Car was gone over by The Little Speed Shop (Rochester New York) upon purchase in 2020. Multiple things were replaced and refreshed upon taking the car to them. I have recipes to show what work was done and total a hair under 20k to bring the car back up to par to race. Only has a handful of track days on all new parts and tires. This is a turn key, ready to race, car. Please note that this is a race car and does not have a title and SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN ON THE ROAD. Will be sold with a bill of sale from seller. I also have many more pictures and a video of the car running available upon request. Feel free to email or call or text me for further information or to set up an appointment to look at the car.
